The customers dashboard

The customers dashboard shows every customer at once, worst first, so you know where to look. Open it from Customers → Dashboard.

  • Totals across your customers: Need attention, Customers, Devices, Gateways (online out of total), and Open incidents.
  • Needs attention: a card for each customer that isn’t healthy, with the reasons.
  • Open incidents: open incidents across all customers, most severe first.
  • All customers: every customer with its health, lifecycle, tier, and counts of devices, gateways, and incidents, sorted by urgency. Filter it by lifecycle or tier.

The totals, the Needs attention cards, and the Open incidents feed all cover the same customers. Offboarded customers are never included. Prospects are included while Include prospects is on, and the Customers total shows them separately; your browser remembers the setting. All customers always lists everyone.

The dashboard updates by itself. When a device goes down or a gateway reconnects, the board reflects it within a few seconds, without a refresh.

Choose a customer to open their page; see Add customers.

Each customer is healthy, warning, or critical: the worst result of the checks below. The reasons you see on the dashboard are the messages in the table.

Check Example message Result
Unreachable devices “3 of 10 devices unreachable (30%)” Warning at 20%, critical at 50%
A region with no gateway “No gateways configured — nothing can be polled” Critical
Every gateway offline “The gateway is offline — nothing can be polled” Critical
Some gateways offline “1 of 2 gateways are offline” Warning
Gateways that never connected “2 gateways have never checked in” Warning
A gateway that has found nothing “A gateway is deployed but no devices have been found” Warning
Devices found but none monitored “12 devices found, none under management” Warning
Failing collection “2 of 10 devices have a failing collector” Warning
Nothing set up yet “Nothing has been set up for this customer yet” Warning, except for prospect and offboarded customers
Open incidents “2 open incidents, worst is high” Critical if any is critical or high; warning if medium or low

Some details:

  • Gateways themselves don’t count toward the unreachable-devices check.
  • Acknowledged incidents still count. An incident stops counting when it’s resolved.
  • Incidents with the info severity never affect health.
